A three-day cultural tour across the most authentic Morocco. Recommended for art and culture lovers.

Starting from Marrakech we’ll travel across the Toubkal National Park, in the western Atlas, heading south towards the ancient medina of Taroudant and the Massif of Sirwa. A unique experience following the traces of ancient caravan trade routes, across majestic mountains and endless desert plateaus, culminating with an unmissable visit to the majestic Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, UNESCO World Heritage since 1987. The trip includes food tastings and demonstrations, guided visits to local saffron cooperatives and traditional markets, 4x4 and hiking trails across the Massif of Sirwa and traditional music evenings.

Stages of the trip

Taroudant
We’ll cross the High Atlas at the Tizi n 'Test pass (2100 mt) heading south towards the city of Taroudant, in the Souss valley. Also called "the little Marrakech", in the XVI Taroudant was for a short time the capital city of Morocco under the Saadian dinasty, as showed by the magnificent walls still surrounding the narrow streets of the beautiful ancient medina. Along the way to Taroudant, refreshing break at the Ouirgane lake, in the Toubkal National Park.

Taliouine
We’ll spend the second day trip at the berber village of Taliouine, with guided visits at authentic local saffron cooperatives, food tastings and cooking demonstrations. For nature explorers, hikes and 4x4 trails in the near massif of Sirwa (3304 m), in a stunning volcanic landscape of dark rocks, sharp cliffs and vast arid plateaus.

Ait Ben Haddou
We’ll spend our last day trip visiting the majestic Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou and exploring the ancient salt route in the Ounila Valley. On the way to the wide valley of Telouet, we'll stop to admire the numerous villages and ancient kasbahs hanging onto the sides of the mountains. Guided visit of the Glaoui palace in Telouet and retourn trip to Marrakech across the Tizi n' Tichka pass.
