The South of Morocco offers to visitors a surprising variety of landscapes, tastes and experiences like few other places in the world. Going east from Marrakech towards the Atlantic coast, Essaouira seduces with its narrow alleys protected by thick walls from the ocean waves and its wild long beaches perfect for kytesurfing. The ocean breeze freshens the long days on the Atlantic coast even in summer months, making these places particularly suitable also for hiking and horse riding. The adventure will continue south along the long beaches of Taghazout, Ait Aourir, Aghroud and Agadir and the green landscapes of the Paradise Valley, dotted with natural pools of crystal clear water and beautiful little waterfalls, for a short break of nature, relax and fun.

Stages of the trip

Essaouira
Located on the rocky west coast of southern Morocco, about two hours by car from Marrakech, the ancient medina of Essaouira is protected from the ocean waves by thick walls dating back to the colonial era. The constant ocean breeze makes the beautiful Mogador a great place to visit even in summer months while its white long beaches are perfect for kyte-surfing, hiking, camel trekking and horse riding. Surfing lessons and surf equipment rental are available on site.

Paradise Valley
Situated a few km inland from the coast, the Paradise valley (tagharat ankrim, in berber) became famous during the sixties as a meeting place for hippies communities. Today, this narrow valley hidden among the Atlas mountains has maintained the charm of a wild and lush nature and will be for us a perfect site for hiking and nature exploring, among rich palm groves, beautiful waterfalls and clear pools of crystal water. Upon request, guided visit to local argan cooperatives.

Atlantic Coast
We’ll end our three day tour exploring the beautiful beaches of Agadir. Taghazout will be the perfect destination for surfers, while the fine white sand of Aourir and Aghroud bays' will enchant sea lovers, for a relaxing short-break before returning to Marrakech.
