FROM FES TO MARRAKECH: THE ROAD OF THE ZIZ – 8 DAYS
A week long journey for sport lovers and adventure seekers across the most amazing landscapes of Southern Morocco.
Departing from Fez, we’ll head south towards the Ziz Valley and the desert of Merzouga, through the charming cedars forest of Azrou and the suggestive sources of the Oum Rabii river. After a first refreshing day in the heart of the Middle Atlas, we’ll reach the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for a two-days unforgettable experience discovering the life of the desert, including camel treks, traditional music evenings around the warm light of a bonfire and two overstay nights in a Berber camp in the heart of amazing sand dunes. Leaving from Merzouga, we’ll reach the Todgha gorges, internationally renowned for climbing. These steep canyons, up to 160 meters high and only 10 meters apart from each other at their narrowest point, will be also a unique place for two days of hiking and nature exploring, both in the beautiful oasis surrounding the gorges and in the rocky mountains overlooking them, discovering the life of the nomadic tribes of these regions. An absolutely unmissable holiday experience, that will end with a guided visit to the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, magnificent stronghold at the entrance of the famous road of One Thousands Kasbahs, along the ancient caravan trade route leading to Marrakech across the suggestive peaks of the High Atlas.
