THE ARGAN ROUTE (Anti-Atlas and Atlantic coast) – 7 DAYS
A 7 days journey that blends, in a perfect balance, sea and mountain, nature and culture. An experience designed for those travelers wishing to immerse themselves in the history and tradition of the Great South, without losing the opportunity of a dip in the ocean's waves.
The trip takes its name from the argan tree, native to the western regions of southern Morocco and known throughout the world for its nutritional, therapeutic and cosmetic virtues. Starting from Marrakech, we’ll cross the Toubkal National Park travelling along the shores of the peaceful Ouirgane lake, in one of the most picturesque mountain scenery of North Africa. Heading south, we’ll reach the Atlantic coast with a stop at the beautiful medina of Taroudant (known as the little Marrakech) and at the berber villages of Tiznit and Tafraout, in the green expanses of the Souss valley. Along the way, we’ll have a look at several local argan oil cooperatives and small traditional souks, where to appreciate the taste and preciousness of the products of the Atlantic coast. Finally, we'll spend the next days exploring the wonderful beaches of Mirleft, Legzira, Sidi Ifni and Agadir, with a last stop at the beautiful city of Essaouira, the white pearl of the Atlantic coast.
